[KA] Nora Application

3/10/2018: Nora's second class, Elementalist, has been upgraded to Avatar! She can now use more than 1 element.

4/12/2017: Finally updated the app image to reflect her current class, year, and new outfit!

8/11/2017: Nora's title is now 'Sculptor of the Sky'!

13/9/2017: Nora is now a third year student! Design revamp coming soon, as well as a title. Also finally found something that fits her as a theme.

10/7/2017: Nora's first class, Atmos, has been upgraded to Galactic. She now has full mastery over the class; she is able to freely control tornadoes, lightning strikes, and blizzards, and even combine them to create devastating storms. She can even increase the intensity of sunlight or moonlight! She's also now met Ivan and become his caretaker, entering a single dorm!

1/3/2017: Nora now has her second class, Elementalist! She can manipulate fire to a degree.

30/9/2016: Updated app art, along with some of the information, which was outdated. Nora is now in house Nympha, and has officially entered her second year at Yarelts!

Updates

Omni Invasion:
After the events of the wall break, Nora was devastated. Her village and home in tatters, she found it hard to accept that the adults she mistrusted were right all along. While her mother and most of the other citizens made it out alive, when Nora went back to the village she found that the only thing left standing was a stone tower, and children that had lost their parents during the attack. After saving these children, she became more serious and mature, focusing more on improving her magic.

Muse Arc:
By meeting some new friends and training herself in battle, Nora has not only become used to her abilities as an Atmos user, but has began to experiment with new ones as well. She's learnt to open up a little bit more, although she is still very blunt, and untrusting of people she first meets. Now recovered from the events of the wall break, she's curious about the world beyond the wall again, and wants to learn everything she can while protecting those close to her.

Adopting Ivan:
After finding out that she was the adoptive mother of Ivan from a future timeline, Nora was skeptical at first. However, once she fully realised that what the fox was saying was true, she decided to dedicate herself to taking care of him.

Lugia's Storm:
With a huge storm encompassing the entirety of Tora, Nora felt that as a Galactic, it was her duty to try and at least protect Yarelts, so that everyone stationed within the academy could remain relatively safe. Because she overworked herself the entire month, she ended up ruining her clothes, and becoming rather ill and weak for most of the following month. The storm did give her an opportunity to revise what clothes she could use during missions and battles, though, and also allowed her to meet Eirlys, a rather kind Alolan Ninetales anthro.

Oni Invasion/Heart Swap:
When Nora found out that Ivan was nowhere to be found after the Oni soldiers had commenced their attack, Nora immediately set out to find him, despite the fact that she was stuck in Deimos' body. Unable to keep her emotions under control, she quickly wore herself out with telekinesis, and ended up being kidnapped herself. The event left her feeling guilty and helpless, and it wasn't until she was able to apologise to the Gothorita later on that she was able to start overcoming those feelings.

History

If you asked most people about what was behind the walls of Tora before the wall-breaking tragedy, they would talk about the horrors lying in wait there, or rumours of other continents and civilisations still unknown to the land. In Nora’s hometown, a small village near the wall, these rumours spread like wildfire; unpredictably, and faster than the majority of small towns and villages could ever keep up with. This gossip is what she considers to be the remnant of truths still awaiting discovery, and stories passed down from one traveller to the next, until the tales became distorted enough to bear little resemblance to the actual thing. Raised with these tales along with many other stories of hope, sacrifice, adventure and untouched treasures, Nora grew up to wonder what was actually behind those walls.

During her childhood, Nora was the only child in her household living with her mother. Nora’s father, a knight, had little time to come home, so instead he would send letters every month to his wife and child, documenting his experiences within the forces of Tora. As a young Reshiram Nora found her father’s stories to be inspiring, and when she was upset, she would often write to him for guidance. Excited enough by his letters, she would often venture outside of the village, playing with other kids where she probably shouldn’t have been. However, her courage was greater than theirs, and when she finally decided to explore dangerous areas such as woods or climb up tall trees, the others were too scared. In the end, Nora made trips outside the village by herself, despite her mother’s (and others’) warnings.

As she grew older, Nora found it harder to keep a friendship. The morals she had been raised with impeded her, by people either not appreciating her honesty, or people taking advantage of her extreme loyalty to others. But what hurt her most of all, were the people who lied to her. Whenever she made a friend, they’d promise her that they’d be there for her no matter what - but as soon as she mentioned a single sentence about wanting to find out the truths of the world, what was behind the wall, shaking of heads and mass disapproval met her. To Nora, it was as if all her ambitions were greeted with a type of pity - they all thought she’d get killed with her naive dreams, that she was insane, and they didn’t want to have any connection to it.

During these times, however, Nora turned to the one thing she could - books. The stories she had loved all those years were her driving force, the thing that kept her going, no matter how hard it was. And most importantly, they didn’t judge her for her beliefs and dreams. Along with help from her father, the Reshiram finally found her resolve and the path she wanted to go down. She began learning about the different requirements to become a knight, and decided to study at Yarelts with the knowledge she had learned. She finally decided that if she became a soldier, she would be able to find out the truths of the world without having to be shamed for it, and possibly even see outside the walls. And best of all, she had finally found a friend. One she knew she could trust and depend on… because they had the same ambitions, and the same dreams.

Hobbies

Nora loves literature and reading of any kind, from factual encyclopedias to fairy tales. She spends most of her time alone with her head in a book, but on occasion, she can also be found in gardens, or somewhere hidden/secret. She loves nature and discovering new things, and when her wings aren’t clipped, enjoys flying. Her favorite time of day to fly is during the night, when she can gaze at the stars midair.

Although Nora was previously in Keldz due to her courageous and loyal nature, the new houses made her feel somewhat lost. She decided to join Nympha as a second choice to Keldz, since their thirst for knowledge suited her hobbies and interests.

Weapon 
Retractable wooden staff

While her tail turbine is used to gather all of the energy she requires within her body, Nora is unable to manipulate it to its full potential on her own. Her answer for a quick fix is a retractable wooden staff, which she sometimes carries around with her. The staff’s main purpose is to give a solid area that she can channel the energy to, making it much more efficient than using her hands or other parts of her body (such as her feet, or wings). It is quite versatile in combat; and on the end, it has a spear-like blade, in case attackers get too close for her liking - though this is a last resort.

Galactic:

As a Reshiram, Nora’s ability to manipulate the weather is extremely high - and she's finally unlocked her full potential. In order to change the weather, she uses heat waves generated by her tail turbine. These heat waves can then be manipulated to either make areas hotter or colder, create thunderstorms, rain, snow, drought, tornadoes, and more. She can use her abilities on a smaller scale as well, for practical uses such as heating up or cooling down things, with almost utmost ease. 

After finally acquiring the Galactic class, Nora can even go a step further, and do things such as make light more or less intense, create light herself, and even effect the tides of water somewhat. These effects work differently to her normal abilities, however, and are still limited to the range she can work with. 

Also, an important thing to note - she can't use any kind of weather-based ability - such as rain or lighting - with great accuracy indoors. If the conditions are right, she can still create weather - but she has little to no control over it after it's been created. Fog, mist, steam, wind, and temperature changes are all she has to rely on when she's inside, making it difficult for her to hold her own in a fight without using her elemental abilities. Speaking of which...

Avatar:

Nora's mastered the use of fire, and has started to expand her reach into using other elements. By condensing heat energy, Nora can create flames for use both in and out of battle. Combined with her weather abilities in particular, these flames can quickly become quite hazardous, and their reach can be amplified greatly. By using different elements, Nora is able to patch up her weak points in combat, and can take a more offensive approach than before. This is most noticeable in close and mid-range, where previously she was incredibly easy to pick off, and almost defenceless as an Atmos and Galactic. Much like how she can combine fire with her weather abilities, she theorises that it should also be possible to use multiple elements at once, truly making her a versatile fighter.

Nora's recently begun training in the use of elements other than fire. In particular, air seems to be the easiest for her to learn - but she's also starting to see results in ice as well. She believes it should be possible to eventually use all of the elements that she more or less already controls as a Galactic: Fire, Air, Ice, Electricity, and Water.

Element Progress:

Fire - Almost perfect!
Air - Pretty good, sometimes imprecise or unpredictable. 
Ice - She's been able to use it before... but it tends to happen randomly, or on too small of a scale to use in a fight. Needs more work.
Electricity - She's going to wait until she's got this elemental thing down a bit more before attempting this. 
Water - Same for this one. She's not entirely sure if she can even control water in a more condensed manner yet.

Moveset:

Nora's moveset is based on her abilities as a student at Yarelts. As she improves and learns new techniques, her moveset will also change, showing that she's 'leveled up'. The specific methods and levels these moves are obtained are not the focus with her moveset; just moreso the actual moves themselves (think more of a skill tree, where you can get the most powerful skill for a specific path early on, but still have room for improvement in other areas). 

These movesets are not canon by any means, and merely just a fun way to represent her growth.

• Did you know that Nora’s DNA splicer is an item passed down through her family? They own two of them, the other belonging to her dad.

• Nora’s mother is a Reshiram like her, while her dad, on the other hand, is a Zekrom. Her father is a knight and earns money for the family, while her mother is a former scholar.

• Nora regularly cuts her hair and trims her wings! Sometimes she lets them grow out.

• She had only one friend upon entering Yarelts, a Chespin named Sasha. Despite that, she was still very untrusting towards others.

• She wears many different types of clothing, depending on what she wants to do and the current state of her hair and wings.
